In Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords you can learn different things from your companions. You can also train some of your companions to become JEDI. This guide should help you navigate some of the conversations to help you gain influence so you can get your companions to become Jedi.

And if I have maxed out my influence with him then it doesn't make sense why he won't turn already unless the game just decided to glitch out or something. Boards Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II. Aug 10, 2010 Hi everybody. Does anyone have any KOTOR 2 playthrough tips and/or ideas that they would like to share? I'll start the 'ball rolling' by mentioning that I resist the temptation to 'level up' any companions that I know I will later jedify. In this way, for example, I will have a companion that is Jedi Guardian level 20 instead of that same companion bein.

It is easiest to wait until Level 18 to talk to Handmaiden when you are on the Ebon Hawk because if you are level 18 you can do all her Dueling Matches and also turn her into a Jedi pretty quickly.

NOTE: Always try to choose the nicest responses when talking to Handmaiden. This ensures you will GAIN Influence with her and also gain a lot of Light Side Points.

To start, talk to Handmaiden and ask her why she looks different. During this conversation you should gain Positive Influence and Light Side Points with her as long as you are nice to her.

In another conversation you should have the option to ask Handmaiden about her Mother. Again, choose nice replies and you should gain Influence with her.

You can talk to Handmaiden about her name and you can get several Light Side Points from this particular conversation.

You have the option to Spar with Handmaiden by talking to her and asking her if she can teach you any fighting moves. You will go through 3 Sparring Matches and GAIN INFLUENCE with each victory. Make sure to talk to her again about fighting after beating her 3 times and she will teach you a power that adds you Wisdom Attribute to your Defense Raring (very very very very useful!)

With the Sparring Matches done and all of the conversations done you need to go talk to Kreia and ask Kreia why she doesn’t like Handmaiden. End the conversation after this dialogue.

Now talk to Kreia again and Kreia should start talking about how much time you are spending with Handmaiden.

Now go back and talk to Handmaiden and tell her that you want to talk about her Mother.

That conversation should lead to Handmaiden becoming a Jedi Guardian.

ATTON

Atton is the easiest to turn into a Jedi. Go to the Refugee Sector of Nar Shaddaa with Atton in your party and wander around until the two Twi’Lek show up. Talk to them and then talk to Atton and the conversation should lead to you turning Atton into a Jedi Sentinel.

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2 comes with a new way to upgrade your lightsaber.

While the original Kotor only had two upgrade slots, Kotor 2 has five upgrade slots. Kotor 2 includes the same two crystal slots as the original but now comes with the option to add a cell, an emitter, and a lens.

These additional slots give you a lot more options when it comes to customizing your lightsaber for battle.

We’ve compiled a list of every crystal and addon for lightsabers and included some of the best lightsaber builds in Kotor 2 for you to use.

Kotor 2 Best Lightsaber Combinations

With 5 slots and a ton of different options, there are an insane amount of combinations you can make in Kotor 2.

Here are the best lightsabers for various situations you may face. Note that your personal lightsaber crystal may be better than one of either crystal offered in these builds.

Make sure you compare the stats of your personal crystal to the ones listed below and pick the one that’s best for your situation.

Best for Overall Damage

  • Barab Ore Ingot
  • Upari
  • Ultimate Diatium Energy Cell
  • Expert Fencing Emitter
  • Ponite Lens

This combo gives your lightsaber a bunch of different bonuses to hit your foes hard. After installing all of these in your lightsaber of choice, you will have +2-12 Fire Damage, +11-28 Energy Damage, +4 Attack Bonus, +2 Defense!

That’s a possible +40 bonus damage if you’re lucky not including any crit damage or your base damage.

Best Lightsaber For Droid Damage

  • Firkrann
  • Barab Ore Ingot
  • Superior Ion Energy Cell
  • Expert Fencing Emitter
  • Pontite Lens

If you’re facing a ton of droids, this should be the loadout you roll up with. You’ll melt through droids with your added +5-26 Ion Damage, +3 Attack Bonus, +2-12 Fire Damage, +1-6 Bonus Crit Damage, +2 Defense, and +5-15 Energy Damage.

Best Lightsaber For Blaster Bolt Deflection

  • Jenruax
  • Lorrdian
  • Any Cell. None have Blaster Bolt Deflection or any sort of defense buff. We suggest Telgorn III or Ultimate Diatium.
  • Expert Deflection Emitter
  • Ossus Dueling Lens

Sometimes its fun to just knock blaster shots back at your enemies. With these mods, your lightsaber will have a whopping total of +15 bonus Blaster Bolt Deflection, +4 Attack Bonus, and +2 Energy Damage, and +3 Defense.

This does not include the bonuses the cell you pick will have.

Kotor

Best Lightsaber For Critical Hits/Chance

Companions
  • Opila
  • Ultima-Pearl
  • Superior Discharge Energy Cell
  • No Emitter has any increased crit chance or damage. We suggest using the Expert Fencing Emitter as it has some added energy damage (+3).
  • Beam Gem Lens

The above add-ons make your lightsaber a crit monster. Keen does not stack so it’s important to only take one Keen add-on.

With these installed in your lightsaber, you’ll get +7(+10 with the Fencing Emitter) Energy Damage, +4-26 Bonus Crit Damage, +4 Attack Bonus, and Keen.
